With the continuous improvement of people's living standards, modern appliances such as ovens and microwaves have gradually entered the kitchens of ordinary families. Due to the characteristics of non-toxic, harmless, acid and alkali resistance, and easy cleaning of glass materials, it is very popular among consumers. However, reports of glassware cracking or even hurting people in ovens or microwave ovens have often occurred, causing a lot of confusion to ordinary consumers. What kind of products can be used in microwave ovens and electric ovens without blasting, most consumers do not know very much.
There are two types of daily glass tableware products currently on the market: tempered glass and heat-resistant glass. Pyrex is safe for microwave and toaster ovens. While tempered glass can also be microwaved, it has the potential to burst. The "killer" in the media reports that the "killer" is basically tempered glass. It is stipulated in QB/T4064-2010 "Lighting Industry Standard of Tempered Glassware for Catering" that the heat resistance and rapid change performance of tempered glassware for catering should reach 130℃, and the cracking rate should not exceed 10%. There are certain safety hazards in the use of heat-resistant glass in the environment. GB17762-1999 "Safety and Hygiene Requirements for Heat-resistant Glassware" stipulates that the thermal shock temperature of heat-resistant glassware is 120℃, and the qualified product is 110℃. However, the current production of "heat-resistant glass products" is not strictly implemented in accordance with national standards, and even obscene behaviors such as using ordinary soda-lime glass to pretend to be heat-resistant glass have damaged the interests of consumers.
In addition, with the improvement of people's living standards, high-end technology products such as defense glass, such as zero-expansion glass-ceramics, have gradually entered the daily life of people, this glass has a very low expansion coefficient and can withstand direct heating of flame. Many companies at home and abroad have developed a lot of kitchen products, of course, it is also very valuable.
Therefore, consumers must look at what type of glass you are, do not blindly put!
If it is ordinary soda-lime-silica glass, do not put it. Because ordinary glass has poor resistance to thermal expansion and contraction, it is easy to burst and there is a wounding incident. If it is tempered glass, it can usually be placed in a microwave oven. However, considering the unevenness of the manufacturer, it is risky to put the glass into the microwave oven. It is not recommended to put it in a small series, depending on the product specification. If it is borosilicate glass, it is the instrument glass used in the laboratory, or the glass ceramic with lower expansion. Both glasses can be placed directly into the microwave or even placed directly into the oven. Of course, the price is relatively higher.
Therefore, consumers should choose different glasses according to the specific use, make the best use of them, the best of both worlds!
